The suit was filed at the Manhattan Federal Court in New York City, claiming damages as the charities trademarks were used on over forty items in Missy’s “Respect ME” clothing line without authorization from the charity.

Papers filed at the court claim the former spokesperson for “Break The Cycle” Missy Elliot launched her clothing line in 2004 with the charting beliving it was entitled to a percentage of all profits from the clothing line.

This isn’t the first time Missy’s had trouble with the law, last year in Denmark, Queen Margrethe II threatened to launch a lawsuit due to simularities in Missy’s logo and the royal seal.
