More then 18 international musicians including Missy Elliot have been offically confirmed to appear at the first THISDAY Music Festival.
The festival runs October 7 & 8 in Lagos, Nigeria to celebrate Nigeria’s independance.
It’s always good to see western celeb’s doing their best to help out around the world..

“When I was just starting out, I heard my album playing in some store in the mall, so I thought I’d check it out. There were a bunch of guys hanging around outside the store who recognized me, so I was trying to be real fly and cute when I walked in—but I crashed right into the glass door! I hid in the store until it was almost closed because I didn’t want to have to face them again.”

According to the New York Post paparazzi and partiers waited for over 2 hours for superstars Missy Elliot and Ciara to make their contractually obligated appearance at the Whiteflash.com “Dripping in Diamonds” party at Cipriani.
The funny thing is while they were scheduled to host the party, they skipped out but still attended the after party.
No doubt the event planners are calling lawyers as I type this.

Missy Elliot’s plans of releasing a biographical movie has hit the rocks after her childhood friend and partner in music Timbaland turned down the offer to be a part of Missy’s project.
Timbaland, a hip-hop and R&B producer, the man who was the creative push behind many of Missy Elliot greatest hit songs, is absolutely sure that his side of the story would be misconstrued by the public once in the hands of script writers looking to dramatize their long long friendship.
Timbaland is qouted saying “I don’t want to be in the movie. For me that movie is all about her. You couldn’t make that movie and put my side of the story in it too. Missy’s life… It’s deeper than a rap story, there’s a lot of parts. I don’t think it’d work if you start putting other people’s stories in too.”

Robert De Niro has negotiated for the rights to produce a biopic on rapper Missy Elliot’s life. The project will be handled but Roberts De Niro’s own production house Tribeca Films with the help of Mona Scott, Elliots manager.
Missy Elliot will be working along side Mona and script writer Dianne Huston to produce a script that is both entertaining yet based on facts.

The American domestic violence charity “Break The Cycle” has reportedly slapped Missy Elliot with a $10,000,000 lawsuit this past thursday, claiming Adidas and Missy illegalled used uts name and logo on Missy Elliot’s sportswear line. The suit was filed at the Manhattan Federal Court in New York City, claiming damages as the charities trademarks were used on over forty items in Missy’s “Respect ME” clothing line without authorization from the charity.
Papers filed at the court claim the former spokesperson for “Break The Cycle” Missy Elliot launched her clothing line in 2004 with the charting beliving it was entitled to a percentage of all profits from the clothing line.
This isn’t the first time Missy’s had trouble with the law, last year in Denmark, Queen Margrethe II threatened to launch a lawsuit due to simularities in Missy’s logo and the royal seal.
